Office of Minority Health Announces Grants to Address Health Disparities - July 7, 2010

On July 6, the Office of Minority Health announced plans to award a series of grants aimed at reducing health disparities. The grants include: $2.3 million for addressing access to care and health equity through Umbrella Cooperative Agreements; $4 million for Health Equity Community Based Networks; $1 million for HIV prevention in young adults; and $2.8 million for resource networks for families affected by HIV/AIDS. Eligible applicants include private, non-profit organizations that focus on minority health and that represent minority-focused health professionals.
