Preliminary FY 2011 DSH Allotments Released - January 4, 2011

On Jan. 3, CMS announced preliminary disproportionate share hospital (DSH) allotments for Fiscal Year 2011. The FY 2011 preliminary DSH allotments are approximately $365 million lower than FY 2010 DSH allotments, according to the CMS notice. The decrease reflects the end of enhanced DSH levels for FY 2009 and FY 2010 that were included in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
