CMS Releases Medicare ACO Program Final Rule - October 25, 2011

On Oct. 20, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released its final rule on the Medicare accountable care organization (ACO) program. In general, NAPH is very pleased with CMS’ efforts to address safety net hospitals’ concerns with the ACO proposed rule. In developing the final rule, CMS implemented many of the changes NAPH suggested in our June 2011 comment letter.
