Adieu/Farewell – A Message from Chris Burch - October 12, 2010

After 20 plus years at NAPH this is my last week. I want to thank all my friends in the NAPH community for a wonderful career. I have always said that I have one of the best jobs in Washington, DC – representing you and the patients you serve. Throughout my career I have been motivated by social justice issues. This country has taken great strides – and yet there is still much to be done. I know you will continue the fight for those who don’t always have a voice.

I particularly want to thank the 20 plus people that have served as Chair of NAPH during my tenure. Kirk Calhoun, M.D. and Lisa Harris, M.D. have done an incredible job the past eighteen months during this transition period. Larry Gage has of course been a great leader and a great mentor. Bruce Siegel is an incredible choice for CEO – I know NAPH will flourish under his leadership.
