Bipartisan Group of House Members Urges Inclusion of 340B Inpatient Extension - January 12, 2010

A bipartisan group of 42 members of the House of Representatives sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi urging her to ensure that the final health care reform bill extends the 340B drug discount to the hospital inpatient setting. The inpatient extension was included in the health reform bill adopted by the House Energy & Commerce Committee in July, but was removed from the bill that the House passed in early November. The Senate-passed health reform bill would extend the 340B drug discount program to the hospital inpatient setting.
