San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center - Moving Toward an Integrated Delivery System
Chief Executive Officer: Susan A. Currin, RN, MS

San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (SFGH) is the acute hospital for the City and County of San Francisco, Department of Public Health. It is the sole provider of trauma and psychiatric emergency services for the city and provides a full complement of inpatient, outpatient, emergency, skilled nursing, diagnostic, mental health and rehabilitation services for more than 100,000 adults and children each year.

The U.S. health care delivery system has been characterized as complex and fragmented on the local, state and national levels; leading to inefficiency, duplication, inappropriate use of high-cost care and lower patient satisfaction.

Come tour SFGH to see and hear how staff is working to integrate services within SFGH and the Department of Public Health, as well as improve efficiency and patient satisfaction.
